WHEW!
Well, we're finally here in San Antonio. It's been one hell of a move. All of our stuff on the back of a truck and flatbed trailer, across the desert Southwest, in July.
We must be fucking nuts.
So we're here, and the new digs are really nice. Right by McAllister Park in S.A., so there's trails just a couple of minutes away by bike.
D and I went for our first ride in Tejas today, going out to the lovely trails of Flat Rock Ranch in Comfort. By the way, the name is a bit misleading, as it's hardly flat. In fact, there was a respectable amount of climbing overall, if not in one big chunk. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend it.
D rode really well despite the Texas summer heat. I felt pretty good too, until I got my second flat of the day. See, I have a pair of the rare (about 25 or so) and elusive Specialized Flat Track 29" tires, and tore a sidewall on one of the many sharp rocks that are out there. Kind of a downer, since I really liked how these tires handled. To be fair, these tires are more race oriented, but it still sucks.
That's it for now, 'cause we're still beat from this week.

Yo, cograts on the successful move. Accross the desert SW in July sounds hellish. I hope all goes well for you in Tejas. At least you are updating more often than I am.
