Been a long time, but I'm back...
First the big news- we're buying a house! That's right folks, we're gonna be homeowners. It's an old one, but it's in a really nice neighborhood. I imagine there'll be a lot of work to be done over the next, um, forever, but it's gonna be ours.
So, I'm still working in the shop, but I'm really close to having my Massage Therapy here in Texas. It's been a bit of a struggle, but there it is.
As far as riding goes, it's been minimal, but steady. Over the last few weeks I've actually started getting out and riding some of the good stuff we have here, including a Gubmint Cheese ride with Fat Bob.
I know that it may not seem like it, but we actually have some pretty decent riding around here, and I'm not happy with myself for not taking advantage of it. I know that it's only going to get tougher from here on out to go ride, so I feel like I've missed some opportunities. Well, not much I can do about the past, just gotta take the chances when I get to in the future.
Bike stuff: I got D a new bike- Fisher Cobia, all kinds of tricked out. Basically, the only stock items are the frame and wheels, and hopefully if some stuff sells, the wheels will be replaced soon. She's loving having a 29" geared bike with front suspension, and it's really helped her riding, and her confidence.
On the Wily, I think I have it pretty much perfect. Recently, I replaced the old Sugino cranks with a snazzy White Industries ENO set. Very high class, donchaknow. I've also found what may be the best front tire I've ever used...ever. The Panaracer Rampage is awesome. Very cushy, grippy, sexy... It's a nice tire. And with that, I can't think of what else I could upgrade on my bike. I mean, there's not much to it to begin with, and everything I've got is really, really good. Although, a Moots Ti seatpost would be better than the Ritchey...
